What exactly is fluoride? This is the important question we need to address. So, perhaps you have heard this term before. You may be thinking to yourself, where did I hear this word? Dental fluorosis occurs where there is over-exposure to fluoride in children between birth and around 9 years old. Fluride has been found to have a negative effect on children and can in fact increase the risk of tooth decay. Also, it has been shown that fluoride can cause impaired brain development in young children. In addition, it needs to be noted that there has been a study looking at the colloration between IQ tests and fluoride. This is very worrying information. It is a common that we think that fluoride is faultless however, there are many studies that are available for research which unfortunately show otherwise.
